Truveta, a US-based health-tech company, is expanding its global team and has opened up a key position for a Clinical Data Analyst at its new headquarters in Hyderabad.
If you are passionate about using data to save lives, this is a unique chance to work with one of the world’s largest collections of real-world medical data. You will be analyzing Electronic Health Records (EHR) and clinical notes from over 120 million patients to help researchers find cures faster and improve patient care.
Job Summary
Role: Clinical Data Analyst
Location: Hyderabad, India (Daily Onsite work required)
Team: Clinical Intelligence and AI Evaluation
Reporting to: Director of Clinical Intelligence
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you aren’t just “crunching numbers”—you are solving real-world healthcare problems. Your daily work will involve:
Data Extraction: Writing SQL queries (specifically in Databricks) to pull clinical concepts from unstructured notes and EHR data.
Customer Collaboration: Working directly with researchers and internal teams to turn complex medical questions into executable code.
Visualization: Creating dashboards and data tools that help stakeholders make scientific decisions.
Teaching: Helping customers learn how to use SQL, R, and Python to navigate the Truveta platform.
Who Truveta is Looking For
The company needs someone who understands both the technical side of data and the clinical side of healthcare.
1. Education & Experience:
A Master’s or Graduate degree in Data Science, Clinical Informatics, Clinical Research, or Health Information Management.
3+ years of experience analyzing large-scale healthcare datasets (millions of patient records).
Experience translating research questions into analytical code.
2. Technical Skills:
Strong SQL skills are a must.
Proficiency in at least one statistical language: R or Python.
Familiarity with Spark or Big Data environments.
3. Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
If you have experience with PySpark, Databricks, NLP (Natural Language Processing), or writing Regex queries, you will have a major advantage.
