Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineer – Water Tester, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Water Chemistry Testing

Conducting boiler water and cooling tower chemistry testing to ensure optimal water quality.
Analyzing water samples using advanced laboratory techniques such as wet chemistry analyses, gas chromatography, and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
Identifying potential issues in water treatment systems and providing solutions to prevent corrosion, scaling, and microbiological growth.

2. Technical Expertise & Maintenance

Collaborating with maintenance teams and engineers to implement effective water treatment programs.
Assisting in wastewater management by ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting HVAC cooling towers and boilers.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Ensuring strict adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
Maintaining accurate testing records, laboratory logs, and compliance documentation.
Preparing detailed technical reports and regulatory submissions.

4. Training & Work Instruction Adherence

Following detailed work instructions to conduct tests and calibrate laboratory instruments.
Providing training to junior staff and ensuring laboratory best practices.
Upholding safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) in all testing processes.

Qualifications & Experience

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must have:

✅ Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science (or a related field).
✅ Minimum of 1 year of experience in water chemistry testing within an industrial setting.
✅ Hands-on experience with laboratory testing methods, including gas chromatography and HPLC.
✅ Familiarity with industrial water treatment and HVAC cooling tower chemistry.
✅ Knowledge of GLP & CGMP regulatory standards for water testing.
✅ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in recording and interpreting data.
✅ Ability to work independently and in a team to ensure compliance and quality control.
✅ Excellent communication skills for reporting and documentation purposes.
