Open Position: Senior IPDRG Medical Coder
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior IPDRG Medical Coder to join our team. This role involves accurately coding medical records for inpatient services, ensuring compliance with ICD-10 coding guidelines and regulations. You will be responsible for reviewing patient records, assigning appropriate codes, and collaborating with healthcare providers to ensure accurate coding and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and regulations
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure coding accuracy
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience in IPDRG coding
- Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC)
- Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
