The National Institute of Unani Medicine invites applications from eligible candidates to fill multiple posts under Direct Recruitment/Deputation including short-term contracts. 1. Pharmacy Assistant – 01 Post (UR)

  • Recruitment Mode: Direct Recruitment

  • Pay Level: Level-2, Pay Matrix Rs.19,900 – 63,200 (as per 7th CPC)

  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 25 years

  • Essential Qualifications:

    1. Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized Institution/University/Board.

    2. One-year Unani Pharmacy Certificate Course OR three years of experience as a Pharmacy Attendant in a Unani Pharmacy/Dispensary.

    3. Knowledge of Computers.

  • Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu/English/Kannada.


2. Pharmacy Attendant – 01 Post (UR)

  • Recruitment Mode: Direct Recruitment

  • Pay Level: Level-1, Pay Matrix Rs.18,000 – 56,900 (as per 7th CPC)

  • Age Limit: Below 28 years

  • Essential Qualifications:

    1. Matriculation (10th) or equivalent examination.

    2. At least three years of experience in dispensing medicine at a reputed Institution.

    3. Knowledge of Hindi/Urdu.


3. Nursing Officer – 01 Post (OBC)

  • Recruitment Mode: Direct Recruitment/Deputation

  • Pay Level: Level-7, Pay Matrix Rs.44,900 – 1,42,400 (as per 7th CPC)

  • Age Limit: Not exceeding 30 years

  • Essential Qualifications (Any of the following):

    1. B.Sc. Nursing or B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing from INC recognized Institution/University.

    2. Post-basic B.Sc. Nursing recognized by INC.

    3. Registered as a Nurse/Nurse & Midwife (RN/RN&RM) with State/Indian Nursing Council.

    4. B.Sc. Nursing (AYUSH) from AYUSH-recognized University with registration under respective councils.

    5. Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) with 2 years of experience in a 25-bedded hospital.

    6. Diploma in Nursing & Pharmacy (AYUSH) with 2 years of hospital experience.


Application Fee Structure

  • General/OBC/EWS: Rs.2000/-

  • SC/ST: Rs.1600/-

  • PwD Candidates: Exempted from fee

  • Payment Mode: Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Director, National Institute of Unani Medicine, Bengaluru”, payable at Bengaluru.

  • Note: Each post requires a separate application form and fee. Fees once paid are non-refundable.


Important Instructions for Applicants

  1. Applications must be submitted in the prescribed Annexure-I format only.

  2. Age relaxation is applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

  3. Age will be determined as on the closing date of application.

  4. Recruitment is governed by NIUM Service Rules.

  5. Incomplete, late, or applications without the prescribed fee and required documents will be rejected.
