Job Overview
We are currently hiring for a Medical Coder specializing in Emergency Department (ED) coding. This is a work-from-home position, requiring a commitment of five working days per week. The shift timing is from 8 AM to 5 PM. While certification is not mandatory, having working knowledge in CPT & ICD coding is crucial for this role.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately code medical reports using CPT, ICD, and appropriate modifiers.
- Adhere to client specifications and project-specific guidelines without deviations.
- Check LCD policies for Medicare patients.
- Ensure tasks are completed with speed and accuracy, in line with client SLAs.
- Escalate issues to seniors in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with the latest codes and contribute to team goals.
- Maintain punctuality and work cohesively in a team environment.
