Job Description –

A Business Intelligence (BI) Developer plays a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making. The primary responsibility of the BI Developer is to support the organization’s data-driven strategy by creating, maintaining, and optimizing BI solutions, dashboards, and reports. This role is instrumental in helping businesses make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and identify growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that drive business insights.
  • BI Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop BI solutions and reporting tools. Utilize BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy) to create visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively present complex data in a user-friendly manner.
  • Report Generation: Develop and maintain standardized and ad-hoc reports for key stakeholders and business units. Ensure timely delivery of reports and proactively identify opportunities for report optimization.
  • Data Modeling: Design and implement data models and data warehouses to support BI initiatives. Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
  • Business Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into functional requirements for BI solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of BI solutions and dashboards, ensuring they meet the organization’s requirements and are updated in real-time.
  • Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance and security standards to maintain data integrity.
  • Trend Analysis: Conduct ongoing trend analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • BI Tool Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging BI technologies and tools, assess their suitability for the organization, and recommend improvements to existing BI infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills: B.Tech Degree, Power BI, Tableau , MicroStrategy, SQL, MSBI, ETL (Extract, Transform , Load) , Excel, VBA.

Job Overview

Participates in analytical, experimental, investigative and other fact-finding work in support of technology product | Responsibilities are within the Technology Product Development Support Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Essential Functions

• Work with customers and project management teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

• Manages day-to-day of the ticketing queue for clients ensuring completion in line with client needs/expectations.

• Helps prepare recurring internal meetings and advises on timeline progression.

• Ensures all tickets are up to date. Responsible for ticket escalation as needed.

• Builds out weekly client slides. Provides snapshot of projects and status.

• Participate in QA, UAT & production launch support related to various customer engagements

• Collaborate with product development team to help support platform functionality

• Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for custom integrations

• • Has working knowledge of support processes and working in support environment.

• Drives resolution to remediate both routine and non-routine problems and holds resources accountable to provide permanent solutions designed to improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience

• 3years of related experience working on PeopleSoft Production Support

• Work is primarily achieved by an individual or through project teams, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people.

• Requires the application of expertise in professional area(s) to achieve results.
