​Responsibilities:

• Participate in hiring a team of 3-4 engineers
• Lead the team in technical discussions and build consensus through collaboration
• Mentor, train, evaluate and elevate team members
• Develop new features and address tech debt/bugs in our flagship client-facing product using Angular, C#, ASP.NET MVC & MS SQL Server
• Collaborate in a cross-functional, fully-remote scrum team
• Effectively communicate technical information with audiences of varying technical backgrounds
• Estimate effort for work at both an epic and story level (with appropriate degrees of certainty)
• Collate team effort estimations into project plans with realistic and achievable deadlines

Qualifications:

• 9+ years of experience in a software engineering role
• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing engineers (or equivalent leadership experience)
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC and/or Web API, and SQL
• Strong working knowledge and ability to apply OOP and design patterns
• Strong working knowledge ability to apply architecture patterns such as microservices
• Strong estimation skills
• Strong working knowledge of a front-end framework such as Angular or React is a plus
• Experience with systems design and writing readable code
• Experience with Angular, JavaScript, jQuery or .NET Core a plus
• Experience with git is a plus
• Experience with Scrum is a plus
