Job Responsibilities for Clinical Data Specialist
As a Clinical Data Specialist at IQVIA, your primary responsibility is to support the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team in delivering high-quality data management products. Key responsibilities include:

Acting as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for one protocol or leading specific data management tasks, such as coding, testing, or database designing.
Conducting data reviews and writing data clarifications as needed.
Leading the database audit team and overseeing database development and testing.
Performing clinical data coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Collaborating effectively with the Data Operations Coordinator, Data Team Lead (DTL), and other members of the team.

Qualifications for the Role

A Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical, Biological, or Mathematical Sciences, or a related field, is required.
Alternatively, a combination of education, training, and experience in data management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Exposure to medical terminology is essential.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills are required.
Proficiency in computer skills, with attention to detail and the ability to take initiative in resolving issues.
Capability to work independently and build effective relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
