Essential Educational Qualification and Experience
Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria for the Consultant (Scientific/Technical–Non-Medical) for GLP post:
Qualification: M.Sc. / M.V.Sc. / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. in a relevant discipline.
Experience: At least 10 years of post-qualification experience in conducting Quality Assurance or managing studies under a GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) environment.
PhD Consideration: A PhD degree will be treated as equivalent to four (4) years of experience, regardless of the duration of completion.
Note: Master’s degree in any discipline will not count toward experience.
Candidates with demonstrable expertise in GLP documentation, QA systems, SOP preparation, and study oversight will be given preference.
Remuneration and Compensation
Consolidated Monthly Fee: Between ₹1,00,000/- and ₹1,80,000/- per month (depending on qualifications and experience).
Retired Government Employees: Remuneration will be fixed as per Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure OM No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09.12.2020.
There will be no annual increment during the contractual period. The remuneration will remain fixed for the entire term of the contract.
Age Limit
Minimum Age: 40 years
Maximum Age: 70 years
Candidates should have at least one year of residual service before attaining the age of 70 as on the last date of application submission.
Duties and Responsibilities
The selected Consultant (Scientific/Technical–Non-Medical) will be responsible for:
Overseeing all GLP-related activities at ICMR–NARFBR.
Managing and monitoring GLP-compliant research studies.
Preparing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation.
Ensuring compliance with national and international GLP standards.
Supervising project management, study conduct, and quality audits.
Performing any other tasks assigned by the Director, ICMR–NARFBR or designated authorities.
This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and integrity of the facility’s research operations.
Period of Consultancy
Initial Term: 1 year
Extension: Renewable annually on a case-to-case basis, depending on performance and project requirements, up to a maximum of 5 years.
Performance evaluations will be conducted by the Competent Authority before renewal.

Selection Process
Screening: Applications will be reviewed by a Screening Committee based on eligibility and experience.

General Terms and Conditions
The engagement is purely contractual and temporary, initially for one year.
No claim for regularization or permanent employment will be entertained.
Unauthorized absence beyond 8 consecutive days will result in termination.
Consultants are not entitled to any other benefits such as DA, HRA, transport, or medical facilities.
Leave entitlement: 1.5 days paid leave per month; unavailed leave will not carry forward.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or joining.
Working hours will be the same as regular employees.
Private practice of any kind is strictly prohibited.
Aadhaar-based biometric attendance (AEBAS) is mandatory.
Consultants must maintain discipline, confidentiality, and adhere to institutional norms.
Violation of terms will lead to termination without prior notice.
