The Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) is looking for a senior professional to fill one vacancy for the post of Scientist ‘G’. This position is based in the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) to the Government of India and will be filled on a deputation basis.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)

Because this is a senior role, the requirements for education and experience are specific:

1. Educational Background:

You must have a Master’s Degree in Science (Physical, Chemical, Biological, Mathematical, Agriculture, etc.) OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, Biotechnology, or Medicine.

2. Experience Required:

A minimum of 21 years of experience in Science & Technology or R&D.
Out of those 21 years, at least 7 years must be in planning, managing, or directing major S&T programs or policy initiatives.
You must have a proven record of leading a team.

3. Current Grade Requirement:

You must be holding an analogous post on a regular basis OR have at least 5 years of regular service in Pay Level 13A (₹1,31,100 – ₹2,16,600).

Age Limit & Tenure

Maximum Age: You should not be older than 58 years on the closing date of the application.
Deputation Period: Usually does not exceed 5 years.
