Position Details

Designation: OPU & ET Technician
Education Requirement: M.V.Sc. in Gynecology and Obstetrics

Desired Skills:

Expertise in Artificial Insemination (AI) and breeding.
Experience in addressing gynecological disorders in cattle.

Experience: Minimum 1 year

Reports to: Department Head

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and implement synchronization protocols for recipient cows.
Perform ovum pick-up (OPU) from donor animals.
Conduct rectal palpations to evaluate the reproductive status of incoming recipients.
Review and design synchronization protocols for recipient animals.
Execute embryo transfer (ET) procedures safely into recipient cows.
Follow up with synchronized and ET recipient cows until pregnancy confirmation.
Evaluate pregnancy status post-insemination using ultrasonography.
Treat anestrus animals and resolve breeding issues.

Role Overview

The OPU & ET Technician is responsible for ensuring the success of synchronization, embryo transfer procedures, and addressing gynecological issues in cattle. The role demands precision, veterinary expertise, and the ability to monitor and treat reproductive health efficiently.
