Key Responsibilities

Inpatient Medical Coding

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes.
• Ensure coding follows official coding guidelines and payer regulations.
• Assign MS-DRG or APR-DRG accurately.
• Verify discharge disposition and assign POA indicators.
• Abstract facility-specific clinical data.

Revenue Cycle Support

• Work on DNFB accounts.
• Handle failed claims and stop bills.
• Support DRG denial management.
• Maintain turnaround time, productivity, and quality metrics.

Clinical Documentation Improvement

• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Specialists (CDS).
• Resolve documentation gaps with physicians and medical staff.
